Hurricane season · June 1 – November 30
After the wind dies down, check these six things.
No ladder needed — everything here can be spotted from the ground. See any of it? Get the roof looked at before the next storm finds the same weak spot.
-
Pieces on the ground
Shingle tabs, tile fragments or ridge caps in the yard or driveway.
-
Lifted or shifted edges
Shingles that sit crooked, tile that looks out of line with its row.
-
Granules in the gutters
Sand-like grit washing out of downspouts means shingles are wearing.
-
Bent metal
Gutters, drip edge or flashing that is dented, loose or pulled away.
-
New stains inside
Ceiling or wall stains that appear after heavy rain.
-
Debris on the roof
Branches and fronds can crack tile or tear underlayment where they land.

Questions
Straight answers.
The questions homeowners ask most, especially after a storm.
Is the roof inspection free?
Yes. Roof Revolution offers free roof repair estimates. Request a free roof inspection with the form on this site or by calling (239) 449-9659, and Roof Revolution will contact you to set a time.
What should I do right after a storm?
Stay off the roof — wet tile and shingle are slippery, and a storm-damaged roof can be weaker than it looks. From the ground, look for pieces in the yard, lifted or shifted shingles and tile, bent gutters or flashing, and new stains inside. Take photos, protect anything getting wet indoors, and request an inspection.
How do I know if I need a repair or a full replacement?
It comes down to how widespread the damage is and how much life the roof has left. A few cracked tiles or one failed flashing detail on an otherwise sound roof is a repair. Leaks in several places, widespread cracked or worn material, or soft spots in the deck point to a replacement. The inspection is there to tell you which.
